Taylor Swift Reveals Five Things to Expect on '1989'

"With this record, I thought, ‘There are no rules to this’": a sneak peek inside her anticipated fifth LP

Taylor Swift’s fifth LP, 1989, was influenced by some of the 24-year-old star’s beloved acts from the Eighties, from Phil Collins to Annie Lennox to Madonna. This time, she set out to…

One song was taken straight from the pages of Swift’s journal, and another, “Out of the Woods,” sounds like it could have been. “The thing I love about that song, is parts of it reads like a diary, and parts of it read like something 100,000 people should be screaming all together. It’s got these very big lines that everybody can relate to, which are given weight by her being really honest about personal things.

Taylor here. I’m locking myself in my room and not leaving until I figure out how to use my Tumblr. Well, I might leave for a second to get a snack or something but that is IT. I am FOCUSED. I have lots of questions, help me.

ask away sweet one!!!!

Is re blogging what I’m doing right now and is this the best way to write back to someone?
Also how do I get GIFs?
How do you post them?
How do I have one of those convos you always see screen shots of on Instagram?
Is that by re blogging or is there some sort of conversation board on here?
Overwhelmed. Taking deep breaths.

It is sheer good fortune to miss somebody long before they leave you.

The first tweet is from yesterday, which means that Taylor has shot or is shooting a music video. The second tweet is from a guy who works at Oheka Castle. Oheka Castle inspired The Great Gatsby, and Taylor has posted two Fitzgerald quotes before on instagram [x] [x].

“I’m a slave to my emotions, to my likes, to my hatred of boredom, to most of my desires.”

Followed by,

“You are not!” She brought one little fist down onto the other.

“You’re a slave, a bound helpless slave to one thing in the world, your imagination.”

Considering how Oheka Castle is a wedding destination, and a very beautiful place, my guesses are it is for either “You Are Love”, the wedding song she penned for Lena Dunham, or “Wildest Dreams”, the song in which she sings about her fatalist view of fairytale love and romance.

Regarding “You Are Love”……I don’t think they’d have a music video for a song that is a bonus track….at least not at this point in the album’s promotion.

I know they made a video for “Ours”, but that took a year.

I don’t like it when they start to make cheap shots at my songwriting. Because there’s no joke to be made there.
